The best place to travel is your own place. If you haven’t done that yet, you won’t find it in any other place.
My house got hacked!
They took away what’s most valuable to me – Privacy. I bade goodbye to “safety inside your home” cliche.
The robbers broke in by removing window jalousies, sneaking in unnoticed despite having to hurl themselves 5 meters up, tiptoeing through a maze of litter and the glaring kitchen light. Here’s one of the footprints I discovered. You need not be SOCO or CSI just to say this is not mine nor some bigfoot out there.
Luckily, I fell asleep on the sofa watching tv and with all the lights is still on. The would-be robbers got scared of my snore, rather than the bone drill I was recharging! Whatever , I’m glad nothing happened to me. They took nothing but my precious privacy. They walked out of the door unnoticed just like that! So do you think you’re really safe inside your own home?
I highly urge everyone to be extra careful now that the “ber” months is here and christmas is fast approaching. Some people view this gift giving season as the fertile time for robbing someone else just to splurge on their worldly wants. And don’t forget, these Facebook and location updates, some “hackers’ might just be one of your followers doing the “casing” on you and then rob you when you least expect it!.
To those hackers who broke inside my house, I know you. I got your footprints photograph and scanned. Hopefully with CSI technology, our SOCO might be able catch you . If you’re lucky enough, we’d meet one day in my OR table with me, cutting your bones WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. In fact , I really knew where pain is most painful but least deadly when inflicted on human body! Oh, don’t worry. We wouldn’t reach that far should you decide to come back here.I’m ready for you.
The Planner I got in the middle of the year…
Bordering insanity yes, but I get the stuff when I want it, really bad. I remembered how I ended up wishing for this “planner” a year go after sir Gilbert posted the link to spot.ph‘s planner wish list. A wish that supposedly materialized long ago had I pushed through ordering myself. Then the wish got lost in the maze of other more important stuff. Until the middle of this year.
Me and Ligaya wound up meeting chinggay at rob galleria on short notice just so I can get the one last copy. For almost half the price and on my birthday (Chinggay isn’t aware of it) and in the middle of the year, I got this “I-was-supposed-to-get-that-coffeehouse-planner-but I-got-fat-broke-on-the-10th-frappe” planner 2010. So much thanks to Ligaya who made it all happen for me. I considered it a gift from her, actually. Kahit gitna ng taon..
I have been a sucker for planners ever since, and true to my reputation, this planner is now officially, “used”. There’s this coffee cup mark on its hard cover (thanks to spilled coffee), a tear on some pages, lots of cross outs and checks, and numbers on back pages. I also have new ‘blank” pages for my blogging thoughts, a diary for the previous five month of unplanned adventures and six more months of “life planning” (whatever that is). Luckily the makers of this planner made the covers really tough. The planner survived the one time my hiking shoes accidentally “walked” over it.
For the price that I bought and for the short time that I’ll be using it, it’s one though planner I can say.
I hope next year, there will be another planner like this. And I hope I can get one before the year starts!
