IOS 5.0 Un-tethered Jailbreak on Ipod 3G Video released by @pod2G

Chronic DevTeam member @pod2G released a video of an Ipod 3G jailbroken using an un-tethered method that is yet to be “officially” released. He tweeted:

Got an untethered iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1. Feel free to update.
Of course, if you want to SIM unlock, don’t update using Apple’s original FW nor update OTA.

A jailbroken IOS device means you can “install” apps on outside that offered by the Apple app store. A tethered jailbreak requires you to connect your IOS device to a PC every time you restart it or apps will not work. Tethered  jailbreaks for IOS 5.0 are currently available using Acidsnow, SnowBreeze and Redsnow, which can be converted to a partially-tethered iPhone. No word yet as to when will this un-tethered jailbreak be released, but the Chronic DevTeam is busy “fine tuning” the kinks of this method.

Here’s the  video:

Needless to say, I’m pretty much excited! Thanks @pod2g!
